I don't think back-light bleed has much to do with what panel type is being used. If I were going to purchase a 22" wide-screen, I would go for the Iiyama E2201W-B1, which has had excellent reviews.

Quite noticeable when playing movies because of the black bars... Not sure when I will take this sucker back to the Apple Store and if there's any chance of getting a replacement without the problem..
