We offer both standing castration under local anaesthetic and recumbent castration under general anaesthetic and we’ll always recommend the safest, most suitable option based on your horse’s size, age, temperament, and individual needs! 🙌 For smaller ponies (like Shetlands), general anaesthetic is often best as there simply isn’t the space to work safely underneath them.
